Blog submissions
Are you passionate about the Global Lounge and our events? Would you like to gain some copywriting experience and get published online?
If the answer’s yes, then we have just the opportunity for you!
We’re looking for blog submissions for our website, and potentially other platforms. You can write about anything Lounge-related; be it our space, events and activities, or your experiences with us. We offer a vast and varied events programme and we want to shout about it – which is where you come in!
We’d love to receive submissions about our regular and one-off events, but also welcome any ideas you may have for blog content. There is no obligation to write for us on a regular basis, it can be a one-time commitment; whatever works best for you.
Anyone can contribute to our site; no matter what year you’re in or what course you’re studying. All we ask is that you’re passionate about the Global Lounge and our events.
Photography / video
We would love for you to submit photography alongside your blog – or, if you’re just interested in photography or videography – that’s great too!
There are things you’ll need to bear in mind before photographing or filming Global Lounge events – such as attendee consent and image dimensions – so please do get in touch with us before submitting anything, otherwise it may be that we’re not be able to use your footage.
As well as publishing on our own channels (website, newsletter, digital screens), we work closely with the Social Media team and other stake holders at the University to promote Global Lounge activities; your content could feature on the University’s social media channels, Bristol SU platforms and in external publications (just to name a couple)!
Our current and previous volunteers have had their content published on Instagram, on our website and we’ve even framed photography and displayed it in our Global Lounge space!
