Welcome to our spring term events programme! Join us in the Global Lounge, and other locations, to experience and learn about a wide variety of cultural traditions and celebrations.
Global Lounge events are open to all current students and staff at the University.
You can see our upcoming events listed below, in date order. Some of our regular events are available without booking and you can turn up on the day. However, for most of our one-off cultural events, you will need to book. Booking opens two weeks before the event date.
Our events often sell out, so be sure to book your place to avoid disappointment.
Please note that we only allow one ticket per person. If your friends would like tickets, make sure they book quickly so they don’t miss out.

Upcoming Cultural Events
- Trip to Windsor, Eton and Eton College – 20 April, 8.45 am to 7 pm
- Beyond Black History Month: Becoming (2022) Screening with Florence Ayisi – 30 April, 5 pm to 7 pm
- University of Sanctuary drop-in, with tea and cake – 13 May, 12 pm to 1.30 pm
- University of Sanctuary drop-in, with tea and cake – 10 June, 12 pm to 1.30 pm

Regular Events
- Language café – Wednesdays during term time, 2:30 pm to 4 pm English only, 5 pm to 6:30 pm
- Travel the World – Certain Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm (check events schedule for details)
- Global Lounge Friday Hangouts – Every Friday, 3 pm to 4 pm (from 23 February to 7 June – excluding 29 March)
