Yasmin Chakar and Olivia Wylde will take you on the journey to the land of Rainbow Gatherings.
Yasmin was born in Bulgaria, raised in Turkey and have lived in Malta, Germany, Portugal. She has visited over 20 countries and is now settled in the U.K. since 2015. She loves widening her knowledge by making friends from different backgrounds, listening to their stories and learning about their unique cultures. She finds the best way of doing this is volunteering in communities and eco farms and she is excited to share some of the inspiring real life stories with you!
Olivia Wylde loves the wild and her surname is Wylde too actually! She spends a lot of time living in the open. Olivia is a musician and loves singing rainbow songs probably because they hold that element of freedom and freedom of choice in life.
Yasmin and Olivia will share their personal stories about Rainbow Gatherings which are temporary, loosely knit communities of people, who congregate in remote forests around the world for one or more weeks at a time with the stated intention of living a shared ideology of peace, harmony, freedom, and respect. Hundreds of thousands people attend to these each year, and if you asked 20.000 Rainbows why they go to the gathering, you would probably get 20.000 different answers.
Yasmin and Olivia will take you on a journey into this land of freedom & joy with an interactive presentation, share some of their rituals and songs with you.
The information presented in this event represents the personal views, observations and experiences of the speaker. We welcome your diverse range of questions with cultural sensitivity in mind.
