‘Ask me anything’ drop in sessions – 17 January
Monday 17 January at 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Coming to a new country, or even a new city, can be a daunting experience – but don’t worry, the Global Lounge team is here to help!
If you are not sure where to go, or who to ask, don’t hesitate to come and visit us in person. During the Winter Welcome, 17 to 28 January, we will be running specific ASK ME ANYTHING drop in sessions, from 11 am – 2pm in the Global Lounge, 1st Floor, Senate House.
Help yourself to a free hot drink and tell us what you need assistance with, and we’ll do our best to help you find the information you need. In the Lounge we offer lots of practical support and can:
- help you with queries about opening a bank account,
- provide you with a free sim card for your phone,
- explain how transportation in Bristol works,
- direct you to resources that can help you search for private accommodation
- or any other information you need.
Come and find us! 👋
The Global Lounge is the home for intercultural exchange and community building for all students and staff at the University, and is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (during term time) on the 1st floor of Senate House. If you’re not sure where to go or who to speak to, you will always be able to find a friendly face here!
We also offer lots of fun and social activities to help you make friends from around the world, so make sure you check out all of our events!
Send a postcard home! ✉️
As part of the Winter Welcome programme, you are also invited to make use of our free postcard service, where you can come in and write a postcard to your friends and family back home – which we will then post for you – to let them know that you have arrived safely!
Events are free and open to all students at the University (home and international). Head to our Winter welcome programme homepage for more info.
