Global Lounge celebrates various significant dates in the global calendar, such as Lunar New Year, Day of the Dead and Thanksgiving, collaborating with groups and individuals across the University – including student societies and University departments – enabling students to experience and learn about different cultures right on campus.
With over one hundred and fifty nationalities studying at the University, the Global Lounge helps to host events and activities that allow students to showcase their heritage and culture, and bring it to the Bristol student and staff community.
All of these events are open to all students and staff across the University – and the majority of them are free to attend and include free refreshments and entertainment.

What? Where? Why?
We are currently operating in pop-up and virtual modes, organising events and activities for all students and staff. In future Global Lounge will become a physical space in Senate House, however the work has been halted by Covid-19 pandemic. The Global Lounge will be a place where both UK and international students can connect, learn from each other and find out about opportunities of studying, working, volunteering and travelling abroad
